Sonoran Winds Quintet, comprised of Arizona Philharmonic's five principal woodwind players, return to our stage for another captivating concert. This concert offers a beautiful variety of colors and rich harmonies with works by Gershwin, Ravel, Françaix, Mancini, and others.
Maestro Peter Bay presents Classic Wines in New Bottles, a concert of music inspired by composers and genres from earlier eras. Violinist Katie McLin is featured on J.S.Bach's Violin Concerto No. 2 In E Major, BWV 1042. The orchestra also honors Ukraine with Ukrainian composer Skoryk's Melody.
Internationally acclaimed flamenco duo Chris & Lena Jácome team up with musicians from Arizona Philharmonic to offer a unique and unforgettable Holiday Experience, featuring favorites as well as original music. It is the spirit of PAZ (Spanish for peace) that inspires Chris Jácome's flamenco-infused Christmas arrangements as well as original music. This event will be presented at two venues - the Elks Theatre in Prescott, AZ and The Vista Center for the Arts in Surprise, AZ.
James D’León once again joins the Arizona Philharmonic String Quartet for another stunning piano quintet concert. D'León, violinist Katie McLin, and other principal string players of Arizona Philharmonic present Haydn's Piano Trio No. 39 in G major, Schumann's Piano Quintet, and Schoenfield's jazzy Cafe Music.
The percussion trio manos received a resounding standing ovation in 2020. This season, manos expands to four percussionists with even more percussion instruments of wood, metal, skin, and water. This concert will delight the ears and fill the soul with percussion’s wealth of musical possibilities.
