Leave a Lasting Legacy
A legacy gift in your will or trust changes nothing you have today, and it helps secure live orchestral music in Prescott for the people who come after us.
Two ways to leave a legacy gift
1. In your will or living trust. Your attorney adds a sentence:
“I give to Arizona Philharmonic, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of Prescott, Arizona, EIN 83-4652802, __________ for its general purposes.”
Fill the blank with a dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other gifts are made.
2. On a beneficiary form, with no attorney and no change to your will. Name Arizona Philharmonic as a beneficiary of a retirement account or IRA, a life insurance policy, or what remains in a donor-advised fund. Your custodian supplies the form, and you fill in our name and EIN. A retirement account left to a nonprofit passes free of income tax.
Directing your gift
We ask that legacy gifts be left unrestricted, so the orchestra can put them wherever the need is greatest. If you have something particular in mind, please talk with us before your documents are signed, and we will write the language together.
What your attorney or your beneficiary form needs
Arizona Philharmonic, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of Prescott, Arizona, EIN 83-4652802.
Tell us, so we can thank you
A gift already written into a will is welcome whether or not you tell us. Telling us lets us thank you properly.
