Steinway Artist James D'León took a few moments to chat with AZ Phil volunteers Don Baltzer and Sandy Farrell about the concert on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center. Playing with James are are Arizona Philharmonic's Concertmaster Katie McLin, Principal Violin II Luke Hill, guest violist Kim Hankins, and our Principal Cellist Ruthie Wilde - all of whom are terrific musicians.
In the interview, James speaks briefly about each work. At the concert, he'll speak in more depth about the pieces from the stage.
