An Interview with Dr. Joshua Harper

Dr. Joshua Harper takes a few moments to chat about the upcoming concert Elijah concert on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center. Joshua is Founder and Artistic Director of the outstanding chorus Quartz Ensemble and will be conducting Arizona Philharmonic with Quartz Ensemble at the Elijah concert.

Mendelssohn's Elijah is one of the most famous oratorios ever written. In the video, Joshua talks on the history and design of oratorios, Mendelssohn's relationship to the story of Elijah, the stories of the prophet Elijah, and why Elijah has English words that Quartz Ensemble will be singing at the concert.

We hope you enjoy this five-minute interview. And we hope you come to hear the beautiful, clear tones of Quartz Ensemble singing Elijah with AZ Phil instrumentalists.

See you there!

Beware of Scam Ticket Sellers!
Purchase ONLY at YCPAC Box Office.

The ONLY legitimate location to purchase tickets to Elijah is through the box office of YCPAC (recently renamed to the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center). You can reach the YCPAC online ticket sales by clicking the Purchase Tickets button found on this AZ Phil event page

Adult Elijah tickets sell from $35 to $49. Some scammers are asking close to $200 per ticket.

It is unfortunate that every show at YCPAC attracts scammers selling tickets at inflated prices. A google search for Elijah will bring up prominent advertisements to purchase tickets from scammers. Often, the tickets that scammers sell are not legitimate and will not gain you entrance into the hall.

YCPAC will only honor tickets purchased through YCPAC. The easiest way to purchase online tickets at YCPAC is by visiting AZPhil.org.
