PRESCOTT, AZ—February 2022—Arizona Philharmonic (AZ Phil) will be entering a new phase in its development as it seeks to add a Co-Executive Director to work in tandem with its founding Executive Director Henry Flurry.
The five-year-old orchestra will advertise the position and interview candidates for the new part-time role, which is intended to address the growing needs of the organization as it becomes more established and has increased executive responsibilities.
AZ Phil has strong leadership, and the Board of Directors and Executive Director Henry Flurry agree that the maturing organization will benefit from added expertise after reaching its five-year milestone. Flurry said he will continue performing many of the extensive duties of his role, and the added position will provide more time for the orchestra’s creative direction.
The Co-Executive Director will have primary responsibility for fundraising, with the support and active involvement of the Executive Director and the Board. Along with building relationships with individual donors, writing grants and planning fundraising events, the Co-Executive Director will spend about 30% of the time doing administrative work.
Applications are being accepted at least through February 28, 2023 and until the position is filled.
Information on the part-time position is posted online at azphil.org and is being advertised.
