Paz – A Flamenco Christmas

Arizona Philharmonic is very excited to present a new Christmas show by Jácome Flamenco in both Surprise and Prescott, Arizona.

On Saturday, December 3, at 3 PM, Internationally acclaimed flamenco duo Chris & Lena Jácome join three Arizona Philharmonic musicians to debut this brand new show at Vista Center for the Arts, in Surprise, AZ. On Sunday, December 4, 3 PM, the group repeats their performance at the Elks Theatre Main Stage, right in the heart of Prescott’s downtown.

This is a unique and unforgettable Holiday Experience. It is the spirit of PAZ (Spanish for peace) that inspires Chris Jácome’s flamenco-infused Christmas arrangements and original music. With Allen Ames on violin, Jeannette Moore on flute, and Ruthie Wilde on cello, PAZ will feature Christmas favorites ranging from the peace of Silent Night to the joy of First Noel. You’ll also hear flamenco arrangements of classical Holiday tunes and some original Chris Jácome music.

As a composer, Chris Jácome has wowed our audiences with his interweaving of classical and flamenco genres. If you attended Jácome Flamenco’s 2021 show épocas, you already know the beauty and depth of Chris’ arrangements for flamenco guitar, dancer, and small classical ensemble. If you attended our 2022 orchestra concert ¡Andalusia!, you’ve witnessed Chris’ spirited skills with full orchestra and flamenco. PAZ will once again take you on a journey of peace, joy, and spirit.

Come see this newest show of joyful holiday spirit; beautiful flute, violin, and cello; soulful flamenco guitar and singing; and vibrant flamenco dancing. You can find ticket links to both the Surprise and Prescott shows at AZPhil.org.
